The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Street parties and celebrations have been taking place across the country, and thousands of people turned out to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
We had a party too and invited all our friends from the Monday homeless Drop-in and our monthly Lobby Lunch.
Jesus said:
“When you give a feast, invite the poor, the homeless, the lonely and…” the Queen.

The Queen attended our party – in cardboard cut-out form – and many of us enjoyed having our photos taken with her.
We are glad to be able to celebrate a queen who has demonstrated great leadership based on and strengthened by her Christian faith. At WGC through our faith, we recognise that God is the ultimate King of all kings and Lord of all lords. There is no one above Him as He is the source of all creation here on Earth. Although throughout the course of history, we humans have constantly divided societies in ranks and classes, we should ALWAYS remember:
· We are all equal before God’s eyes as He created us in His own image.
“So, God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” - Genesis 1:27
· There is no satisfaction from any rank, position, job or title that can ever replace or even come close to the rewards and fulfilment that we receive from God’s grace, eternal love and mercy.
· A successful leader is one that guides its people through and with God’s grace, one that understands that any ‘power’ bestowed upon themselves will always be inferior to God’s power.
· A successful leader is one that understands the power of shining through God’s light, one that gives God’s credit for each accomplishment and gift that He has granted.
