What is prayer group
Prayer Group is basically when we talk to God and God speaks to us, a bit like a conversation with a friend.
We love prayer as it’s a great way to get to know God better. It’s also very practical - God uses prayer to change us and our community. Prayer brings us together so that God can work through us to bless our wider community.
If you’d like to pray with people in our community, come along to our weekly Friday meeting. It’s currently on Zoom each Friday at 10.30am. Some of the things that we pray for include our personal needs, for vulnerable people we work with in the wider community, plus big issues, whether they’re social, national or international.
Prayer
Why
It’s great to talk to God, as God wants us to spend time with Him and he often speaks to us. When God speaks to us, it often becomes clear what we can do practically, so it’s not just about words!

Get prayer
Many people ask us to pray for them - and if you need prayer, you are very welcome to ask too. We have a team of people who pray for all the requests each week. Once we’ve prayed we’ll mark it as prayed for. Here are a few ways you can contact us to ask for prayer for things going on in your life.
Prayer board
Our prayer board is in the church reception right by the front door. If you want to add a prayer request, we are open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm each week day. All you have to do is write your prayer requests and pop it on the board. If it is personal or private, you can put it in a slot too. There are also candles available if you would like to light one.
Send a prayer request
If you’d prefer to send your prayer request by e-mail, you can use a contact form here.
Prayer and retreat spaces
If you want a quiet space to pray or reflect, we have a Prayer room. It’s a peaceful space in the East Tower room next to the church reception. You won’t be disturbed, so it’s an ideal place to enjoy times of prayer or reflection, whether long or short. If you’d like to use the space, it’s available on request, so simply get in touch.
